Storilly was inspired by our co-founders, Prashant and Anand’s, personal journey to unite professionals and parents through the creative use of digital tools. It all started with Anand’s son, Arjun, who was born with progressive hearing loss in both ears. From an early age, it became clear that Arjun’s path to hearing and speaking would be full of challenges. The road ahead required years of dedication, hard work, and support — from speech-language therapy to the life-changing decision to receive bilateral cochlear implants.

At the heart of Arjun’s journey was Dr. Prashant Malhotra, a compassionate ENT who not only became Arjun’s doctor but also a trusted partner in his care. With Prashant’s expertise and Anand’s unwavering commitment as a parent, they navigated a journey that would change their lives, and Arjun’s, forever.

Today, Arjun is a gifted, active, and well-rounded child who speaks his mind freely and confidently. His story is a powerful reminder that, with the right support, children can overcome challenges to thrive and achieve far beyond expectations. His story is a testament to the power of parental persistence, an engaged team, and the right tools for success.

Originally called Hear Me Read, the platform was initially created to support children with hearing loss. Over the years, however, its scope has expanded to include all children who are receiving speech and language therapy. As the platform evolved to serve a broader community, we knew it was time for a new name that reflected its growing impact — and so, Storilly was born.

Storilly continues to be crafted by speech-language pathologists, doctors, and parents. Together we are using digital tools to enhance collaboration, coaching, and communication between therapists and families. Storilly uses storybooks to facilitate positive parent-child interactions while focusing on speech and language goals.
